Brad Sowers
Chief Administrative Officer
Brad Sowers came to Essex Radez in 2001. His primary
responsibility was to lead the transition of the
company’s clearing operation from a facilities-managed
clearing system to a fully self-clearing member of NSCC/DTCC.
Since the successful transition, he oversees all
self-clearing operations.
Brad has extensive experience in the financial services
industry. He started his career in 1989 as a runner on
the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
His first position was with Balfour MacClaine Futures
Inc., a New York-based Futures Commission Merchant. Brad
went on to hold various positions at Krajewski, Henning,
& Lawrence Trading Co., a clearing member of the CBOT,
including out-trade clerk and compliance clerk.
In 1992, Brad joined Rosenthal Collins Group LP (RCG), a
Chicago-based Futures Commission Merchant. While working
in the company’s compliance department, he obtained his
National Futures Association Series 3 commodity futures
license. He quickly moved into a position working on the
futures trading desk. In 1995, he joined RCG’s
securities broker dealer, Rosenthal Collins Securities
LLC (RCS), serving as Options Principal and managing the
trading desk.
Brad received his bachelor’s in Business Administration
and Finance from Governors State University, University
Park, Ill. He holds the Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 55 and 63
NASD licenses, as well as two technology-related
certifications.
