Brad Sowers

Chief Administrative Officer

Brad Sowers came to Essex Radez in 2001. His primary responsibility was to lead the transition of the company’s clearing operation from a facilities-managed clearing system to a fully self-clearing member of NSCC/DTCC. Since the successful transition, he oversees all self-clearing operations.

Brad has extensive experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in 1989 as a runner on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). His first position was with Balfour MacClaine Futures Inc., a New York-based Futures Commission Merchant. Brad went on to hold various positions at Krajewski, Henning, & Lawrence Trading Co., a clearing member of the CBOT, including out-trade clerk and compliance clerk.

In 1992, Brad joined Rosenthal Collins Group LP (RCG), a Chicago-based Futures Commission Merchant. While working in the company’s compliance department, he obtained his National Futures Association Series 3 commodity futures license. He quickly moved into a position working on the futures trading desk. In 1995, he joined RCG’s securities broker dealer, Rosenthal Collins Securities LLC (RCS), serving as Options Principal and managing the trading desk.

Brad received his bachelor’s in Business Administration and Finance from Governors State University, University Park, Ill. He holds the Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 55 and 63 NASD licenses, as well as two technology-related certifications.
